Airtightness Testing FAQs
How much does an air test cost?
From £90+VAT per plot for multi-plot bookings to £350+VAT for a full day of detailed leak investigation. Contact us for a project-specific quote.
When should I book?
Ideally, test when the building is almost complete, before final decoration, with doors, windows and sealing finished. Book around two weeks ahead, or three months ahead to qualify for our free retest guarantee. Need a last-minute test? Contact us — we can often accommodate changes to your schedule.
How do I prepare?
Download our preparation checklist to help with this.
How long does testing take?
A straightforward test can take around 45 minutes. Complex buildings and leak investigations take longer. If a result falls short, we help identify issues and aim to retest during the same visit.
What result does my building need?
Check the airtightness target in your project’s energy assessment. If you’re unsure, send us the report and we’ll help you find it.
When will I receive my certificate?
Next day!
